Privacy Policy

Your data is safe with us!

When you use our services, we need some information from you in order to provide you with our products. We respect your privacy and ensure that all your personal information is treated confidentially.

All information we collect will only be used by us for the purpose for which it was provided and will only be collected with the visitor’s consent. This consent may have been given for the delivery of our packages to your postal address or to be able to send your personal report via email. Your details will only be provided to third parties if this is necessary to enable the agreed service to be provided. It may also be that we are obliged to do so by law/regulation or because you have given us permission to do so yourself. The information you provide will at all times be treated with the utmost care.

Our service consists of four parts: the order, the sample, the genetic profile and the activation of the profile. Below we explain what information we collect from you, for what purposes we process it and how you can make use of your privacy rights.

Your DNA is seen as special personal data, especially because it concerns biomedical information, but certainly because the DNA is truly individual information. That in itself may be clear and we treat your data as such, not only because the law requires it from us, but also because we respect your privacy.

The Order
You order an analysis of your DNA and an accompanying report from us.
For this order we need the following information from you:

Consent / Access / Disposal

This data is deleted from our systems after six months. We will send you a final reminder at the end of this period to ask if you would like to continue following us and receive general updates. That’s entirely up to you! Without an answer, this data will be removed from our systems.

The Sample

The DNA samples are processed in the Netherlands in academic laboratories by certified partners.

The Genetic Profile

To be able to consult the report that accompanies the sample kit, we ask you to create an account in our ‘portal’ via the website www.DNA2Move.be in ‘My DNA’. There we ask you to share the information below to complete your profile.

Consent / Access / Disposal
The above data can be downloaded from the portal itself. We offer you the possibility to download your data, your DNA data and your report(s) at once. You can also delete your profile there.

Opt-in/Deactivation

Profiles not used for 18 months will be deactivated. After 24 months we will also remove them from our systems. You will receive a total of 3 e-mails from us reminding you to log in. When you are logged in you can download your data and delete your account and profile yourself.

Profile Activation

An analysis and the accompanying report form the basis of our services. We have a number of additional products and partners that we offer to get even more value out of your DNA profile. To do this, we need a number of details, including your permission to share certain information from your profile with our partners.

Consent / Access / Disposal

In accordance with the General Data Protection Ordinance (AVG), we have reported our registration of personal data to the Personal Data Authority. The data we collect are:
